Decimal DLOs Term 1

We are learning to add, subtract and round decimals

Hello and welcome to my post about decimal learning. It was hard to do the decimal riddles because I kept getting the wrong answer

I really enjoyed doing wishball because it is a fun maths game.

This is my rounding decimals sheet

This is my decimal riddles slideshow.

This is my wishball game.

Top team

At Top team, my team was Lachie, Brandon, Caius, Liam, Jacob, And I, the first activity we did was where we had to hold a gutter piece and get a Golf ball from one bucket to another and the person who started it had to run to the other end, we ended up getting five golf balls in the bucket in the five minutes we had to do it and we won.

This is gutter ball

The next activity we did was where we had a number of blocks and we were trying to get higher than the other team, we weren’t higher than them but then theirs fell over and we stopped and we ended up winning.

Then we did a puzzle challenge were we were in a line and one at a time ran up to the pieces and flipped them and when all of them were flipped we had to solve it and we did it faster than them so then we had to find six kiwis and then the horn rang.

Walht: Participate in a Pōwhiri

The purpose is to learn more about our Māori history, our Māori culture and the treaty of Waitangi

Things I loved: I liked doing the Rakau with Paula, I liked eating the Kai, I liked looking for greenstone, Playing American football at play, Singing Waiata at the fire.

This is Poutini the Taniwha
This is Caius with his greenstone
This is Paula doing Rakau
This is Ella’s soap carving

Questions I now have: How many more stories do the carvings have? How long did it take to carve the carvings? How many pieces of greenstone have you found? How long have you been doing this? How many groups have you welcomed? When did you hold the first welcoming?
